She was a beautiful, talented,
accomplished actress in the 30s.
Now barely anybody knows
anything about her legacy.
Her fame, her fortune gone.
Her beauty, her talent, all
ended by Time.

Time the ender of fame, fortune,
greatness and legends.
Time the ender of so many beautiful
and talented women of yesteryear,
and some of today.

Time the Ender of Everything
has no appreciation for beauty,
fame, fortune or even fairness,
like the unfairness of little
children whose days are running
out in children’s hospitals all
over this time weary world.

As a young man, he had perfect health
and near physical perfection from
working out and eating right.
But when he grew older, past 70 years,
unexpectedly he developed health problems
despite his decades of excellent health.
Now he keeps having to take more pills
to just keep living a less enjoyable life,
and he wonders if it’s worth it.
He thinks maybe one day he’ll stop taking
all those pills and end his miserable life.

When birds die, is there
no heaven for them?
Do birds just go to a lifeless
oblivion, and that’s it?
You may think this is silly, and
I don’t give a damn if you do,
but I hope that birds have
an afterlife like humans are
alleged to have.
But maybe the East has it right,
birds and all lifeforms keep
reincarnating up the ladder
of rebirths until they become
humans and eventually –
reach a heaven-like afterlife.

Beautiful women appear and disappear
with every generation.
Just when you think the beautiful women
of your generation are going to last,
they grow old and their beauty is lost.
But fresh, young beautiful women emerge
to take their places.
And thus beautiful women keep appearing
and disappearing in this ever passing life.
But oh how I wish beauty could last, and
that all women could be beautiful forever.

I hear the crows cawing
outside my apartment
at least a hundred fold
they’ve come back again
I never know from where
I don’t know why they
always return
cawing loudly as if
celebrating a reunion
perhaps it is a reunion
held every few months
where they talk and
boast about their
different adventures
stuff they’d stolen
battles they’ve won
birds they fled from
after pirateering
their nests and
curious humans
they seen doing
curious things.

He never thought his life would
turn out the way it did.
No woman in his life, unemployed,
his savings depleted.
Broke and lonely, he got terribly
depressed,
thought about taking his life
until he got a phone call.
An ex-girlfriend had called,
told him she missed him.
He went out with her two
days later.
Their love rekindled, and
a new job.
Thanks to a job lead she
had given him.

We were both
fucked up,
me on wine
her on LSD
fell in love
instantly
made love
all night
psychedelic
music playing
both of us
feelin’ groovy
both free spirits
outliers from
conventionality
her, a hippy
me, a wanna be
took her home
to meet my folks
in Tennessee
kicked us both
out of their home
drove with her
back to Cali
argued along
the way
crazily
she left me
back in Cali
tired of being
with a wannabe
took off with
a real deal
hippy dude
I went back
to working
for the Man
completely
sold out
became a
straight arrow

Pisses me off how movies screw up history,
rewrites to sell the movies.
Bullshit myths that people believe because
they saw them in movies.
I’m been guilty of believing the movies too
until I heard or learned the real history.
Pisses me off that I was duped, but like most
I just accepted the movies as true.
Maybe you did too.

Lisa had tried the dating apps,
never met the right guy.
After texting many guys and
meeting some,
she never had any success.
She had a few boyfriends,
didn’t work out.
For some reason, at age 31
she couldn’t suffer not having
become married.
I guess she went little crazy,
or maybe she got too depressed,
when she hung herself to death
in her bedroom closet.

Bob Boyd

She always camped by herself,
liked the independence.
She didn’t fear any trouble,
trouble only happened to others.
Unwisely, she announced
locations where she went camping
in YouTube videos weekly.
A predator who watched her videos
snuck into her tent one night.
But luck was with her.
A pitbull her brother bought her
scared the predator away.
