Too Many Young Women Go Missing or Are Murdered in This World

I have watched many true crime show
cases on YouTube videos.
In those cases, many young women are
murdered, their futures destroyed.
Boyfriends or ex-husbands are usually
the murderers.
Sometimes they are murdered by strangers
or serial killers.
The numbers are shocking and tragic,
as if it’s open season on young women.
It pisses me off that monsters of my gender
are responsible for these horrors.
And I cannot imagine how terrifying those
last moments must have been those women.
I hope when they died they went to a place
that erased the memories of their deaths.
I hope it was a better, safer place then this
world that was so dangerous for them.

When I was in high school, I thought the kids
called nerds were abnormal.
To a degree I was right, and I had no admiration
for them,
like I did for the troublemakers like myself.
When I got much older and took many hard knocks,
I began to appreciate nerds for their intellects.
I also envied them a bit because they weren’t as
addicted to girls as I was,
and for how had I been like them I could have done
better in life,
and not been crazily involved with many women,
some which brought me trouble and grief.

Once when I worked in the retail jewelry business,
I was told never show more than 3 pieces of jewelry.
The reason was with more choices it becomes
harder for customers to make a decision.
I think the same applies with dating apps where
the choices are so many.
I also think that, unlike with meeting face to face
with less choices, people become disposable
and are not valued as much.
I’m like a monk now and too old to bother with
seeking love,
but were I younger I would hate dating apps,
like I hating dating sites when I was younger.

Friends said he could do better
she wasn’t pretty enough for him
but his friends could not see
how beautiful she was beyond her face

There’s a werewolf after me
I always hear him howling
I hope like in the movies
a silver bullet will kill him

She destroyed the hopes of my heart
like a bomb detonating inside of me
her weapon of mass destruction
a devastating heart-seeking no
